Senior Lecturer Dr. (Ms.) Nimali Priyangika has been officially appointed as the Head of the Department of Language Skills Development at the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka, assuming her duties on September 1, 2026.
Dr. Nimali holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Kelaniya. Additionally, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of other Languages from Chongqing Normal University, P.R. China, a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Chinese from the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka, and a PhD in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language from Sichuan University, P.R. China.
