Journal of Sinhala Studies
About the Journal
The principal objective of this peer-reviewed journal is to provide a platform to disseminate research findings of the university academics, especially in the field of Sinhala. This journal accepts papers in the language studies, linguistics, literature, and other relevant areas to language-relevant studies and priority will be given to the Sinhala language studies. JSS publishes refereed, well-written original research articles, and studies and reviews that describe the latest research and developments in the field of Sinhala. By usual practice, papers previously published and under consideration for publications elsewhere cannot be accepted. Authors must agree not to publish accepted papers elsewhere without the prior permission of JSS. Two issues are published annually.
Editorial Board
Reviewing
All Articles will be double blind reviewed by two independent reviewers in the relevant field.
Editing
The Board of Editors has the authority to edit the article/paper to conform to the style and format of the Journal.
Language
Primary languages of the journal are English and Sinhala, and authors are encouraged to submit high-quality articles written in English and Sinhala. However, articles written in Sinhala must be associated with an abstract in English in addition to a Sinhala abstract.
Frequency
The Journal is published in February and August of each year.
Article Types
The journals can consider the following article types :
Original papers, review papers, conceptual framework, analytical and simulation models, case studies, empirical research, technical notes, and book reviews.
