Guest Lecture on “Buddhist Teachings Regarding a Good Dhamma Preacher”
The Department of English of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka successfully hosted a guest lecture on 6th February 2025 as part of the “Preaching the Dhamma in English” Programme. The lecture was delivered by Ven. Dr. Mawathagama Pemananda Thero, Head and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Sanskrit, on the topic “Buddhist Teachings Regarding a Good Dhamma Preacher”. The session, held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., provided the first year English medium students (2023/2024) with profound insights into the essential qualities and responsibilities of an effective Dhamma preacher.
