The English Day organized by the English Literary Association of the Department of English Language Teaching (DELT) was successfully held on 14th May 2026 from 9.30 a.m. onwards at the Main Auditorium. The event was honoured by the presence of the Most Venerable Vice Chancellor and the Venerable Deans of the two faculties, including the members of the academic and non-academic staff of the university.

The programme came alive with a range of student performances and engaging activities, reflecting the creativity, enthusiasm, and language skills of the first-year, second-year, and third-year undergraduates who are enrolled in the courses offered by the department. 

More than just an event, “Echoes of the Dhamma – 2026” became a joyful gathering that brought the university community together in celebrating the beauty of the English language and literature.
