Ven. Kumbugoda Are Pagngnaloka thero holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Philosophy from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura and  Master of Art Degree  from University of Kelaniya and Master of Philosophy Degree from  Bhiksu University of Sri Lanka.
