Venerable Professor Gonadeniye Pannarathana Thero officially assumed duties as the head of the Department of Pali in the Faculty of Language Studies at the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka on 01st February 2025.

Venerable Professor Gonadeniye Pannarathana Thero holds a Ph.D in Buddhist Studies, University of the West, United State of America. MPhil in Pali, MA. in Buddhist studies and B.A.(Hons) in Pali with first class from University of Kelaniya.
