Introduction Legal and Documentation Division
The Legal and Documentation Division of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka is responsible for handling all legal and documentation matters relating to the University. The Division provides legal assistance, coordinates litigation and institutional legal affairs, and ensures the proper maintenance and management of official legal and administrative documentation.

Vision
To ensure effective legal administration and proper documentation management in safeguarding the interests, integrity, and disciplined governance of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka.
Mission
To provide efficient legal and documentation services to the University through professional legal guidance, coordination of legal proceedings, maintenance of institutional records, and support for lawful and transparent administration.
Services
- Handling and coordinating litigation and all legal matters filed by or against the University before courts and other judicial or quasi-judicial bodies
- Liaising with the Attorney General’s Department and external legal authorities on matters concerning the University
- Handling and coordinating employee disciplinary inquiries
- Assisting in administrative and contractual legal matters
- Providing legal opinions and documentation support to University authorities and divisions
- Maintaining and managing legal, administrative, and official institutional documentation
- Handling appeals, complaints, and related legal correspondence concerning the University
