The International Webinar on “Multilingualism and Buddhist Perspective”
The International Webinar on “Multilingualism and Buddhist Perspective” was successfully completed on the 10th of November 2021.
The keynote address of the webinar was made by Prof. Ramesh Prasad (Dean, Faculty of Shraman Vidya Sampurnananda Sanskrit University, Varanasi, India) Throughout the seven sessions the topic was discussed in details. As a result of these discussions we have decided to find out a specific research methodology for the Buddhist studies. The other opinion is to share knowledge on Buddhist secondary sources such as Milindapañha among the people with the help of modern techniques of media. In this conference local and foreign students and scholars submitted their research papers with full interest. The webinar was very attractive and important to all the scholars. At the end of this great event many appreciations reached to us providing good ambitions for future webinars and conferences.
The chair of the International webinar was Ven. Dr. Kandegama Deepawansalankara Thero and Mr. Pradeep Gunasena, Dr. Upul Gamage, Ms. Nirosha Salwathura, Ms. Jeewanthi Hettiarachchi were joint Secretaries. The Conference assistant was Mr. K.S.G. Kothalawala. We would like to see in another webinar or conference soon.
