Scholarship awarding ceremony
For those who passed HSK Examination in 2021/2022
The scholarship awarding ceremony for the students who passed the HSK levels of the Chinese language in 2021 and 2022 was held at the vice chancellor’s boardroom of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka on 14th November 2022. This scholarship is a cash-awarding program that was organized by the Department of Language Skills Development for students who are following the Chinese language offered by the Department. The winners were selected from the HSK examination held in 2021 and 2022. Rev. Suriya (BS/F/2019/020) from HSK level 5 and HSKK Advanced Level course examination held in June 2022 and Sajith Priyantha (LS/2019/50) from the HSK Level 2 examination held in December 2021 received cash awards. At the invitation of Ven. Haihui, a volunteer lecturer at the Department of Language Skills Development, Mr. Yeung Chun Fan contributed fully to these cash prizes.
The prizes were given by the most venerable vice chancellor of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka. Ms. Nirosha Salwathura, Head of the Department of Language Skills Development, and Ms. Nimali Priyangika, Senior Lecturer in Chinese, Department of Language Skills Development, also participated in this event.
