Opening Ceremony of 'Bonsai Oasis'
The small garden located within the premises of the Faculty of Buddhist Studies and the Faculty of Language Studies, which was transformed into a beautiful "Bonsai Oasis", by Rev. Juti Manta, a third-year undergraduate of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka, was officially declared open on 3rd October 2024. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Venerable Vice Chancellor, Her Excellency the Ambassador to Myanmar, the Deans of the Faculties of Buddhist Studies and Language Studies, the Registrar, along with academic and non-academic staff members, Chief monks from Makutarama Myanmar temple, students, and other distinguished delegates.
The dignitaries commended Rev. Juti Manta for his dedication, vision, and love for both the university and his work, praising his efforts in creating this beautiful garden.
