Special Lecture on Language Learning Motivation and Student Engagement
A special lecture on 'Language Learning Motivation and Student Engagement,' conducted by Ven. Prof. Nedalagamuwe Dhammadinna Thero, Head of the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Kelaniya, was organized by the Department of Language Skills Development and held on 21st August 2024 at the Library Auditorium. The lecture focused on the importance of learning foreign languages and explored how students in the Sri Lankan context are motivated to learn a new language. Many students studying foreign languages at the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka participated in this event.
