Celebration of India-Sri Lanka Maitri Week 2024 at the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka
A special event in celebration of India-Sri Lanka Maitri Week 2024 was held on Tuesday, 13th August 2024, at the Library Auditorium of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka. India-Sri Lanka Maitri Week is dedicated to promoting the compassion, goodwill, and enduring friendship between Sri Lanka and India.
Prof. Ankuran Dutta, the Director of the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, attended the event as the chief guest. The Vice Chancellor, Most Venerable Prof. Neluwe Sumanawansa Thero, along with the Head of the Department of Sanskrit, Ven. Senior Lecturer Dr. Mawatagama Pemananda Thero, the Dean of the Faculty of Language Studies, Senior Lecturer Dr. Swarnanda Gamage, the Head of the Department of Language Skills Development, Senior Lecturer Dr. Indiwaree Wickramasinghe, Lecturer-in-Charge of Hindi Language Studies, Senior Lecturer Dr. Nirosha Salwathura, Senior Lecturer Dr. Nimali Priyangika, Lecturer Ms. Gaya Ariyawanse, and many students also participated in the event.
