Assumption of Duty of the Post of Head of Department of Buddhist Culture
Senior Lecturer Dr. Nilantha P Dissanayake officially assumed duties as the head of the Department of Buddhist Culture in the Faculty of Buddhist Studies at the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka on 08th September 2021. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Buddhist Civilisationfrom the University of Sri Jayawardenepura, Sri Lanka in 2006, obtained Master’s Degree in Buddhist Studies in 2013, and PhD in 2019 from the same University. He was recruited as a Temporary Lecturer of the Department of Buddhist Culture at the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka in 2010, appointed to the post of Probationary Lecturer in 2014, and upgraded to the post of Senior Lecturer of the Department of Buddhist Culture in 2019. The vision of Senior Lecture Dr. Nilantha P Dissanayake who has given his immeasurable contribution to the academiais to achieve the objectives of university during his tenure as the head of the Department of Buddhist Culture.
බෞද්ධ සංස්කෘතිය අධ්‍යයනාංශයේ අංශාධිපති ධුරයේ රාජකාරි භාරගැනීම
2021 සැප්තැම්බර් 08 වන දින ශ්‍රී ලංකා බෞද්ධ හා පාලි විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ බෞද්ධ අධ්‍යයන පීඨයේ බෞද්ධ සංස්කෘතිය අධ්‍යයනාංශයේ අංශාධිපති ලෙස ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ කථිකාචාර්ය ආචාර්ය නිලන්ත පී. දිසානායක නිල වශයෙන් වැඩ භාර ගත්තේය. ඔහු 2006 වසරේදී ශ්‍රී ජයවර්ධනපුර විශ්වවිද්‍යයාලයෙන් බෞද්ධ ශිෂ්ඨාචාරය ශාස්ත්‍රවේදී (ගෞරව) උපාධිය ලබා, 2013 දී බෞද්ධ අධ්‍යයනය පිළිබඳ ශාස්ත්‍රපති උපාධිය ලබාගත් අතර, එම විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයෙන් ම 2019 දී ආචාර්ය උපාධිය ලබා ඇත. 2010 වසරේ දී ශ්‍රී ලංකා බෞද්ධ හා පාලි විශ්වවිද්‍යෘලයේ බෞද්ධ සංස්කෘතිය අධ්‍යයනාංශයට තාවකාලික කථිකාචාර්යවරයෙකු ලෙස සේවයට බැඳුණු ඔහු 2014 දී කථිකාචාර්ය තනතුරට පත්වූ අතර, 2019 වර්ෂයේ දී එම අධ්‍යයනාංශයෙහි ම ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ කථිකාචාර්ය තනතුර දක්වා උසස් කරන ලදී. ශ්‍රී ලංකා බෞද්ධ හා පාලි විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයෙහි උන්නතිය සඳහා විශාල දායකත්වයක් දක්වා ඇති ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ කථිකාචාර්ය නිලන්ත පී දිසානායක මහතා බෞද්ධ සංස්කෘතිය අධ්‍යයනාංශයේ අංශාධිපති වශයෙන් කටයුතු කරනු ලබන කාලය තුළ ඔහුගේ දැක්ම වනුනේ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයීය අරමුණු කරා ළගා වීමයි.
