Dr. Lalith Wicremanayake assumed duties as 3rd Librarian of Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka
Dr. Lalith Wicremanayake assumed the duties on the 1st of February 2023 as the Librarian of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka amidst of blessing of the Maha Sanga.
After completing B.A.(Hons) in library and information science degree from the University of Kelaniya, Dr. Lalith completed master of library science degree from the University of Colombo. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Wuhan University, China. Further, he has served over 26 years at the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka. He served to the same university as deputy librarian until he left the university.
Dr. Wicremanayake will take the library forward to vibrant research, teaching and learning culture at the university.
