English Teaching Workshop at Parama Dhamma Chethiya Pirivena
The Department of English successfully organized an English Teaching Workshop at Parama Dhamma Chethiya Pirivena, Mount Lavinia, on 4th October 2024. The primary objective of the workshop was to provide practical teaching experience for our undergraduates while offering valuable educational support to the students at the Pirivena. This event fostered mutual learning and skill development for students from both institutions.
Undergraduates from the first, second, and third years, following various courses within the Department of English, actively participated in the workshop. They were guided by Dr. Waruni Tennakoon (Head, Department of English), Ms. Warsha Ranasinghe (Lecturer – Temporary), and Ms. Binuri Ruwanpura (Lecturer – Visiting), who provided mentorship throughout the event.
